Roberto McGraw and Jessica O’Grady, private investigators in Temecula California, and their Great Dane, Spade, spend their leisure time in Baja at their beach cabaña in the small community called San Jose de Comondu. Normally they fly there; only once have they gone by truck, driving the dreaded Rock Pile. Now a friend suggests a trip by small boat. When their friend’s boat is not at their rendezvous point, they appeal to their Baja friends and organize a search. A tangled web of greed, lust, and murder unfolds as they take you up and down the peninsula on the famous Sea of Cortez, in search of clues to his disappearance. The search gets International help when evidence links a big drug lord to murder.
